Assalamu alykum sisters,

This thread is for all those sisters who come to the saturday NN's in foundation. We were asked to write one thing that we are grateful for based on the ayats 8-10 from surah Balad. I gave the example of being grateful for my Iron. Allhu mdulilah i have one otherwise all my hijabs would be un-ironed or i would i have to use some other method which would be unconvinent for me.

Try not to make it very boring like "Alhumdulilah i have parents"
But something like "Alhumdulilah i have parents who scold me for not praying on time and because of them i will enter Jannah"
Look at the positive side of things.

So lets get started!!!!!

wassalam
Atiqa
P.S you DON'T have to part of this NN in order to you post what you are greatful for.

Assalam u alaikum
Since Atiqa made us promise to post I finally signed up.
OK, so I'm thankful for school. Otherwise I would never have acquired so much useless knowledge that I have now. Just kidding, it isn't useless. It's cool stuff to know. So yeah, education rules.

Alhamdulilah, I am greatful my father does not whip me; with an iron; he has never laid a hand on me.

There is a positive side of having an iron, and using it for it's rightful purpose, to iron hijabs.

LOL Umber you are funny. Well if someone was getting beat by an iron they should be thankful it's nothing worse than that right? seems like a tough situation.

‘O Allaah, what blessing I or any of Your creation have risen upon, is from You alone, without partner, so for You is all praise and unto You all thanks.’ [ Allaahumma maa asbaha bee min ni'matin aw bi-ahadin min khalqika faminka wahdaka laa shareeka laka, falakal-hamdu wa lakash-shukru.]

It has been reported that Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said:"…whoever says this in the morning has indeed offered his day’s thanks and whoever says this in the evening has indeed offered his night’s thanks." ( Abu Dawud 4/318, An Nasaa'i 'Amal Al-Yawm wal-Lailah (no. 8), Ibn As-Sunni (no. 41), Ibn Hibban (no.2361). Its chain of transmission is good (hasan), Ibn Baz, p. 24.)

Certainly We have created man to be in distress.

Does he think that no one has power over him?

Does he think that no one sees him?

Have We not given him two eyes,

And a tongue and two lips,

And pointed out to him the two conspicuous ways?

ALHAMDULILLAH , and I thank Allah for SUJUUD
:takbir:

oh and astaghfirullah , i dont mean to rephrase the quraan, those zre just the ayaahs that pertain to my thankfulness
